RAIL services connecting Glasgow to Alloa are set to increase in frequency, as part of a new timetable to be released by ScotRail.
Set to be implemented on Sunday, June 2, the new timetable will see improvements for customers throughout the country.
As part of the plan, evening services between Glasgow and Alloa will increase from hourly to half hourly.
Scott Prentice, ScotRail strategic planning director, said: “This is a fantastic timetable change for our customers, delivering improvements across the country, including almost 100 additional services each day and thousands of extra seats.
“Public consultations play an active part in helping to decide what our future timetables will look like, and we continue to do everything we can to look at ways of making rail an even more attractive mode of transport.
“Everyone at ScotRail is working hard to deliver a safe, reliable and sustainable rail service that provides a positive experience for our customers.”
Other services set to be improved are the North Berwick line which will now hold six carriages instead of four and a new train running from Prestonpans to Waverley.
